Principle Design Engineer £35-50,000 Hampshire (3D SoildWorks)

To be successful and to make your mark you will need to demonstrate innovative design concepts with an ability to ‘think outside the box’ to lead the company forward at this exciting time in the company’s development where an existing unique product is about is about to take the World by storm with over £4M worth of orders for a design that is not currently in manufacture with anticipated growth potential to £60M over the next 4 years. They also have other innovative designs to run parallel their current product for introduction during 2009 and this is where your focus will be required whilst at the same time concentrating on NPI by inventing and patenting ground breaking new methods.

You will join an existing team of design, product, development & project engineers that work in a close knit research and development environment. Your industry experience should encompass concept through to design with working knowledge on driving mechanisms (pneumatics/hydraulics) and controls to complex stainless steel and/or titanium fabrication coupled with practical ideas for manufacture whilst taking into consideration cost of elements and cost minimisation whilst dealing with suppliers for selection of components to sub-contract manufacture. Ideally you should be educated to degree or equivalent with good IT skills and proficient in using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks). It would be advantageous if your experience contained thermal processes and an understanding of flue gas filtration.

Company will consider offering relocation assistance if required up to £8,000 together with pension & bonus scheme after a qualifying period. In addition there is a very real possibility of this unique position leading to a more senior management role brought about through succession planning.
