Education & Qualifications
Essential:
It is essential that the candidate has at least 10 years experience in an appropriate engineering environment, 5 of which in full-time software development (7 for non-degree) and 3 of which should be in a leadership role
Chartered and active in an appropriate professional institution

Key Tasks
· Principal point of contact on IVVQCA matters
· Ensure that the overall solution achieves successful QCA by Customer
· Develop an integrated and coherent IVVQCA strategy for the programme
· Establish, Maintain and ensure adherence to ITEAP and subsidiary plans
· Assist the Systems Engineering Manager in managing / mitigating risk and identifying opportunities
· To plan and cost activities relating to System Integration.
· To develop and maintain company processes and procedures relating to IVVQCA.
· Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with company and business processes to achieve quality, cost and schedules
· Manage the specification, establishment and upkeep of the programme requirements for ITEA facilities
· Manage the technical requirements traceability and compliance baseline for IVVQCA and ensure that changes are controlled and consistent
· Ensure IVVQCA work packages are defined and agreed across all IVVQCA activities
· Ensure that all IVVQCA staff are competent of fulfilling the tasks required putting action plans in place to address shortfalls

Primary Purpose of the Role
As part of TADL’s increased involvement in System Integration, a position has been identified for System Integration Specialist. This is a key role within the company, which is essential to ensure that the correct approach is taken to system integration within TADL and its sub-contractors. The successful candidate will specialise in the integration, test, evaluation and acceptance of systems. In achieving this goal the candidate will work closely with the relevant engineering disciplines to ensure that the delivered system meets Customer requirements. The jobholder will be required to lead a multi-disciplined integration team, possibly spanning several companies, and to establish customer confidence in TADL’s ability to deliver fully functioning systems to the relevant specifications. A key element of the role will be the provision of technical direction and support to those involved in this function. The successful candidate will specialise in planning integration phases, providing the correct facilities, collecting verification evidence and collating cohesive validation / acceptance reports. This is a senior position within the Systems team and the successful candidate will be expected to operate with minimal direction and be capable of providing input to Strategic Planning. It is expected that the successful candidate would participate in appropriate Engineering working groups both within the company and externally at a national/international level.

Additional Information
The jobholder must be able to travel within the UK and overseas, at short notice and on a frequent basis.
